ACTIO-n creates space to try things, work with people, build skills and stay curious — without everything needing to become a production.
It started with a simple question.
Where can adults go to act, explore and keep developing if they don’t want everything to revolve around putting on a show?
ACTIO-n grew from that question — and keeps growing.
BEHIND ACTIO-n
ACTIO-n was founded by Lawrence Hayes, an experienced teacher, performer and facilitator working across drama, acting, performance and creative learning.
With over 20 years’ experience teaching drama and working 1:1, Lawrence has supported LAMDA learners from Entry Level through to Grade 8, prepared individuals for examinations, and mentored teachers working across Acting and Speaking in Public.
His wider teaching experience includes lecturing in Acting and Performing Arts at the University of South Wales, facilitating acting and performance workshops, and Creative Learning projects with the Arts Council of Wales. He also has a varied performance background across stage and screen, in the UK and abroad.
His approach is practical, individual and rooted in learning through doing — whether someone is preparing for an examination, developing performance skills or simply becoming a more confident communicator.
